For the Children Royal Family KIDS® Camps

The primary purpose of Royal Family KIDS Camp is to give foster children ages 7-12 a week of positive memories and royal treatment in a Christian Camp environment.

When a kid goes to Royal Family KIDS Camp

they receive the attention and encouragement of an adult camp counselor and his/her “buddy camper”. In addition, each camper is also exposed to a variety of fun activities, designed for their success and to build self-esteem. For most of the children, it is the best week of the year – a special time when they can focus on having fun and enjoy being a kid.

Activity center workers provide guidance to campers during activity time. This is a fun volunteer role for adults who like to encourage creativity through crafts, painting and board games with  kids.

WHY I VOLUNTEER

I love to "play" with the campers especially at the water front. I serve as a grandma now so often can have quiet conversations with campers when they need a little extra attention.

I enjoy volunteering at camp because we are able show the kids that there are people that truly care and love them unconditionally. Watching the boys and girls grow up into young men and women is well worth the time and financial investment! Oh, and because we HAVE FUN!!! :)

I have been a grandma at camp, a job I just love! Sometimes it involves doing some crazy stuff to help the kids just be kids. Other times it is giving a child a hug or encouraging a counselor or being a listening ear. It’s a fantastic ministry!
